Go Green Week

‘The best time to plant a tree was 100 years ago.The second best time to plant a tree is now!’

Going green is not only the need of the hour but a sustainable way of living and securing the future. With this as the goal and to disseminate knowledge about the same, DPS Vasant Kunj celebrated GO GREEN WEEK from 20th to 24th July, 2026.

Classes Nursery to II organized a plethora of meaningful activities for children such as Poem Recitation, Creative Writing on the topic, ‘I am a Happy Tree’, Recycled Craft, Newspaper Bag making, Collage–My Tree, Story telling-‘The Giving Tree’, Value Education sessions on Green Earth, Germination using Corn Cob, Coconut Pot, Go Green hats and headgears, and songs based on the theme.

The highlight of the week was the Nature Walk which the children enjoyed the most as they interacted with the school gardener and planted their little saplings, which they had brought from home. It was heartening to know that many showed a keen interest in protecting nature and participated in fruitful discussions about the importance of planting trees.
