DPS Vasant Kunj Shines at National Junior Astronomy OCSC 2026
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, takes immense pride in celebrating the remarkable achievement of Anay Sehgal of Class X, who has distinguished himself at the prestigious Junior Astronomy Orientation-cum-Selection Camp (OCSC) 2026, the third stage of the Indian Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) selection process.
Held from 11 May to 31 May 2026 in Kolkata under the aegis of the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), the camp brought together some of the country’s brightest young scientific minds.
Following the Indian National Junior Science Olympiad (INJSO) 2025–26, 36 students from across India were shortlisted for the Junior Astronomy OCSC, of whom only 25 earned selection to the prestigious camp. Anay was the only student from Delhi to secure a place, marking an exceptional accomplishment.
Demonstrating remarkable scientific aptitude, perseverance and a deep passion for astronomy, Anay emerged as one of the top performers at the national-level camp, earning a coveted Merit Certificate and Medal for his outstanding performance.
This remarkable feat is a testament to Anay’s intellectual curiosity, dedication and scientific spirit. DPS Vasant Kunj proudly applauds his stellar achievement and wishes him continued success as he reaches for greater heights in the pursuit of scientific excellence.

DPS Vasant Kunj Student Selected for Prestigious RSI India Research Internship at IISc Bengaluru
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, is proud to announce that Ahyan Bhatia of Class XII B has been selected for the Research Science Initiative (RSI) India Research Internship at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, sponsored by the Adani Group.
Recognised as one of India's most prestigious and highly selective research programmes for high school students, RSI India admits only 32 students nationwide through a rigorous selection process that evaluates academic excellence, research aptitude, essays, and recommendations.
Ahyan's selection was significantly strengthened by his exemplary research in Quantum Physics. His research paper, "Ion Traps and Optical Tweezers," was published in the Scholarly Review research journal under the mentorship of Dr. Adam Alderton of the University of Cambridge. His commitment to scientific inquiry and passion for advanced research distinguished him among applicants from across the country.

Bhavya Das Qualifies for the Indian National Physics Olympiad (INPhO) 2026
DPS Vasant Kunj congratulates Bhavya Das on qualifying for the Indian National Physics Olympiad (INPhO) 2026. Bhavya earned a Certificate of Merit in the National Standard Examination in Physics (NSEP) 2025, securing a place among the 216 qualifiers selected from 66,515 candidates across 1,705 centres in India and overseas. We applaud this remarkable achievement and wish her continued success.

Prerna Achievers Award 2026
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj proudly participated in the National Prerna Achievers Award 2026 organised by Rashtriya Shikshan Sansthan Sangathan under the mission “Sikshit Bharat 2047.” The prestigious award ceremony was held on 25 May 2026 at Bhaurav Devras Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Sector 12, Noida, and witnessed the participation of 74 schools from across the nation.
The event aimed at recognising and honouring meritorious students of Classes X and XII for their academic excellence and dedication. Eminent dignitaries from the field of education graced the occasion, including Shri Akhilesh Mishra, Chairman, NIOS; Shri Suvendu Sekhar Das, Joint Secretary, Affiliation Unit, CBSE New Delhi; and Dr. Danyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, whose inspiring presence motivated students to continue striving for excellence.
The outstanding students of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj were recognized at the event for their exemplary results. The Class XII achievers included Vivaan Sharma, Devina Gahlot, Charvi, and Lavanya Kasana, while Aratrika, Saanvi, and Sreeja were the high-fliers from Class X. The students were applauded for their remarkable academic achievements and commitment towards learning.
The ceremony provided a valuable platform for young achievers to interact with students and educators from different institutions and celebrate the spirit of hard work and perseverance. The programme also reinforced the vision of building an educated and empowered India under the mission Sikshit Bharat 2047.

Students Bring Laurels in Vigyan Vidyarthi Manthan (VVM)
Two students of the institution have brought laurels by excelling in the prestigious Vigyan Vidyarthi Manthan (VVM), a national-level examination organized by NCERT, Ministry of Education, Government of India, in association with Vijnana Bharati.
Ruchit Blaggana of Class XII A has secured the 3rd Position at the Regional Level (Level 1 – Regional Topper) and the 1st Position at the School Level in both Level 1 and Level 2 examinations.

Further, a notable accomplishment has also been recorded by Nakul Blaggana of Class VIII D, who has secured the 1st Position at the School Level in both Level 1 and Level 2 examinations.
