The Junior Wing of DPS, Vasant Kunj, celebrated Diwali with all its grandeur. The week long celebrations commenced from 25th October, 2018, with an Inter-House Rangoli Decoration Competition held for Classes IV, V. Students made attractive and colourful rangolis to depict the traditional fervour. Satluj House and Chenab House were jointly declared the winners.

Class III depicted their talent in the Diya Decoration. 

Classes Nur-II were creatively embellished with the diyas, lanterns and torans prepared by the tiny tots. Children made beautiful posters on ‘Say No to Crackers’. A story-telling session was organized for Classes Nur-II to help children get acquainted to the significance of the festival. 

To conclude the celebrations, a special assembly was conducted by  the students of Class III wherein  the message, ‘Say No to Crackers’, was emphasized through placards and a poem. The highlights of the assembly was a melodious song presented by the choir and a cultural dance performed by the students. Ms. Komal Goomer hosted an ‘Expert Talk’ to motivate the students to celebrated a cracker free Diwali. In the end, Ms. Hemlatha, Vice Principal, Junior School, addressed the students and encouraged them to observe an eco-friendly and a safe Diwali.
