Environment Day
Class Nursery - V

In an endeavour to spread awareness about keeping our Earth clean and green, students of classes Nursery to V celebrated Environment Week  on 12th and 13th July, 2017. The following activities were conducted for Nursery to II -
Nursery - Students of Class Nursery made ‘My mobile plant’, a hanging to understand how a plant grows and the things it requires. They also germinated seeds in small pots. 
Prep - Class Prep students went for a nature walk around the green school campus.
Class I - Each child of Class I planted a  sapling in the school campus. 
Class II - The students of Class II made paper bags using old newspapers, these bags were decorated using Eco friendly material like Jute, leaves, recycled material etc.
Class III - Participated in ‘What’s you promise’ - A badge making activity with a pledge written on it, that the students took to save our natural resources like air, water, trees etc.
Class IV- Performed a ‘Make your own herb garden’ activity, where in every student planted a herb/seeds in cut out bottles or pots. Every class designed their own herb garden. A workshop  by expert from WWF was conducted to enlighten the students about animals and their conservation.
Class V - A paper  reading activity on the topic ’When the rain falls, the roads break’ was conducted and children discussed about measures that can be taken to prevent water logging on roads. 
Workshop for Class V - ‘Blending Dance With Nature’ A workshop was conducted by an eminent Odissi dancer Ms. Jaya Mehta, It was a captivating dance recital along with interaction with students. Students learnt to associate their daily life to trees growing around them in their colonies or school. It was an endeavour to develop a strong bond of love and caring towards the trees growing around.
