THE JUNGLE BOOK


The students of Class II rejuvenated the timeless tale of ‘The Jungle Book’ as part of their Annual Day Celebrations which was held on 25th September’19, 27th September’19 and 1st October’19. The programme began with an enchanting rendition, ‘It’s a wonderful day’, followed by a welcome dance celebrating the birth of Mowgli. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Hemalatha Muralidharan, welcomed the august gathering. The beautifully adorned children depicted the story of one of the most lovable characters among children, Mowgli, and mesmerized the audience with their magnum opus performances. The story also helped the students learn the virtues of wisdom, courage and compassion. It also aided in inculcating the required life skills in them. The acclaimed characters of Bagheera, the panther ; Kaa, the snake ; Sher Khan, the tiger and Mowgli ; recreated the magic and left everybody spellbound. The applause for the programme was unceasing as the parents rose, enthralled. The show concluded with the National Anthem.
