he Talent Fiesta was an exclusive endeavour hosted by the junior school of D.P.S. VK under the able guidance of the Vice Principal, Ms. Rachna Gupta on 18th and 19th April'11 to explore and exhibit hidden talent among the young students. It was a unique show which was 'of the children, for the children and by the children'. The highlight of the stint was 100 percent participation by the students of classes III, IV, V and VI. The most unique feature of the programme was that the whole class watched the performances of their classmates. It was indeed an enriching experience for the teachers as well, as they had a ' talent bank' ready with them to be used effectively and appropriately in future for the upcoming events scheduled in the current session. The programme was a huge success as it provided an opportunity to each student to choose, visualise and put into action his or her performance and, at the same time, get appreciation from the teachers as well as the peer group for their talent leading to enhanced confidence by overcoming stage fear, if they had any. The informal atmosphere enhanced the fun factor of the endeavour. The Vice Principal motivated the students 'to shun all their inhibitions and perform without any hesitation'. At the end of the show, there was a sense of immense satisfaction and the children looked forward to many more such events in the future.
