Maths is everywhere and what better way for children to practice mathematical concepts than through exciting activities which give them the opportunity to hone their mathematical skills and discover the fun and joy in doing so. The Maths Week was successful in achieving this aim.
The Director, Ms. Nina Sehgal, and the Vice Principal, Ms Rachna Gupta, commenced the week by lighting the lamp of knowledge and blessing the children.
On the first day , class III students showed their mettle in adding and subtracting numbers quickly by playing the Number Game.
Class IV had a Treasure Hunt with division sums in which the “Skeleton Cliffs" with treasure were to be hunted in the shortest possible time.
Class V students solved a 9 by 9 Soduku puzzle. The entries were judged according to the correct solution and the time taken to solve it.
Class VI students participated in an Inter House Competition. Their topic was ‘Use of calculators in classrooms and in exams’. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Nina Sehgal and Ms. Rachna Gupta.
