Zeal and Zest at a High! (CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATIONS) 14.11.11.
The birthday of the first Prime Minister of free India, Pt. Jawahawrlal Nehru, was celebrated with much fervour and gaeity. It started with a special assembly hoisted by the staff of the school. The prayer was read out by the Vice Principal. The choir was particularly entertaining as it was graced by the Vice Principal, Ms. Rachna Gupta. The humorous poem in Hindi enthralled the audience. Short and sweet speeches, Thoughts For The Day and The NEWS were enlightening and thought provoking. Thereafter, Class III boys and girls participated in Crab Race and Form a Chain game respectively. Class IV children played dodge ball. ClassV children participated in quilling competition. Classes Nur. to II indulged in games like musical chairs, cho-cho tunnel, pin the nose etc. Classes Nur. and Prep. also watched the movies Happy Feet I and Dunston Checks In. Major highlight of the celebrations was the special screening of the latest flick, The Adventures of Tintin - The Secret of the Unicorn, for classes IV,V, VI at DT CInema, Saket. On the whole,it was a fun-filled day for everyone.
