The students of class IX showcased the dances of India from their origin to innovation – through their Annual Day ‘Nrityanjali’ on 24th December 2011. This was the collective endeavour of 277 students who actively participated in every aspect of the show. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. P. Sarat Chandra, Prof. of Neurology at AIIMS. The show began with ceremonial Ganesh Vandana followed by the inspirational speech by the Chief Guest. Dr. Chandra talked about the importance of positive thinking in the life of students. He also asserted that events like the annual day send positive vibes to the brain and the vibrant atmosphere enhances the personality. Foot-tapping numbers were performed in the musical extravaganza after which the scholar badges were distributed. The audience appreciated vibrant classical, folk, retro and western dances. The successful celebration of the quintessence of dance as an art form wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of the teachers. The scholar badges were also distributed to encourage the young achievers. A total of 143 students were given Scholar Badges and Blue Coats.
