DPS Vasant Kunj organized a special assembly on the 29th April 2010 to honour its new director Mrs. Nina Sehgal.

The assembly began with the prayer followed by a welcome speech by Mrs. Bindu Sehgal, I/C Principal.

Mrs. Nina Sehgal in her inspiring speech stressed upon the need to love-self and others. Her belief that if we love ourselves, we would have the strength to rise above all hurdles and help ourselves achieves our goal.
The school band ‘IRIS’ presented a musical number by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and A.R. Rehman.
At a recently conducted ‘ECO FEST’ by DPS Mathura Road, the students of DPS Vasant Kunj won the ‘Overall Rolling Trophy’. They also won the 1st position in the Ad --mad   competition. Srishti Kocher won the 2nd best speaker prize and Sukriti Sharma won the 3rd prize in the classical dance category. School’s new director gave the prizes away.
The assembly continued with the ‘thought of the day’,’ the news’ and an all-inspiring speech on ‘leadership’. Assembly ended with the national anthem.
