The CEEC had organized the Earth Day Special Assembly on the occasion of Earth Day which was on 22nd April 2008.
The assembly commenced with the translation of shlokas and was followed by children chanted shlokas invoking the divine grace of Mother Earth. Further Anisha Das of V-A recited a poem titled 'Earth Day' and Jhunjhun of X-C recited her self composed poem The Earth Hits Back' which highlighted the agony of earth and repercussions of our actions. Aishwarya Gulati of X-C shared her views on 'Earth Day'. The assembly concluded with the oath taking ceremony and the National Anthem.
The efforts were appreciated by the Principal and he lauded the work being done by the CEEC and the support staff.

The students also attended the Earth Day celebrations organized by the Development Alternatives (Clean India), which was held at Dilli Haat on 22nd April 2008 at 4.00 p.m. The students had prepared posters conveying the message - 'Save the Earth'. The gathering was addressed by the Chief Minister Mrs. Sheila Dixit. They had formed a human chain for the same. Various schools who had participated had put up skits and Nukkad Natak and there was band that had also performed. It was an enriching experience for the students.
