DPS Vasant Kunj student, Shooter Shriyanka Sadangi to represent India at the ISSF World Cup 2012 Shooting Championship at Milan, Italy and Munich, Germany in May!
Shriyanka Sadangi, a student of class XII Commerce of DPS Vasant Kunj, New Delhi has brought laurels to the school in the field of sports for having represented Indiaand wonnumerous international and national level medals in 10 m Air Rifle Precision Shooting.
Her recent achievements (in the year 2011- 2012) have been as follows:
Gold medal in the 10m Air Rifle junior women team event in the 4th Asian Air Gun Shooting Championship2011, Kuwait (Oct 2011)
Silver medal in the 10m Air Rifle junior women team event in the 12th Asian Shooting Championship 2012, Doha (Jan 2012)
Silver medals in the 10m Air Rifle women individual and team events in the Arab Women Shooting Championship 2012, Sharjah (Feb 2012)
Selected as part of the Senior National Squad 2012 for 10m air rifle shooting (women) (March2012)
Selected as part of the Indian Shooting Team for the ISSF World Cup II 2012 to be held in Milan, Italy in May 2012
Selected as part of the Indian Shooting Team for the ISSF World Cup III 2012 to be held in Munich, Germany in May 2012

Shriyanka has been selected by and is currently training at the Khel Ratna awardee Gagan Narang’s Shooting Academy ‘Gun for Glory’ at Pune under the able guidance of Coach Iurii Mikhalkin.
