Nishita Sabharwal of VII-B represented as a main player in Delhi sub-junior girls team in 56th National School Basketball tournament-2010 held in New Delhi  and her team won Gold Medal, this feat earned her Rs 10,000 cash award by Delhi Government. She took part in 37th National Basketball Championship for Sub-Junior- 2010 in Kangra.
Nishita Sabharwal represented Delhi sub-junior girl’s team in 57th National School Basketball tournament-  2011 held in Chhattisgarh and 38th National Basketball Championship for Sub-Junior-2011 in Lucknow. Recently, Nishita has been awarded the Most Promising Player award in National inter-DPS basketball tournament U-14 Girls category held in our own DPS Vasant Kunj.
She also took part in a National Coaching Camp for Sub-Junior - India Camp, held in Indra Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi in December, 2011. She is only girl player selected from Delhi.  This camp organised by Government to help and prepares her for future National and International tournaments. With four National tournament jerseys, she is one of aspirant to cement her position in India sub junior Basketball team. We wish her good luck.
