How many hours of study did you put in? |
| K. Abhilash |
: |
It varied. But 4-5 hours on a consistent basis. What matters
the most is how
efficiently one spends the time devoted for studies. But, while studying a vast
subject such as biology the quantity of time you put in also matters.

Was it all study and no play? |
| K. Abhilash |
: |
Not at all. I played football regularly and even played for the
school team in 11th
and 12th classes. But, one needs to be more focussed in class 12th and hence I
toned down my playing hours but never discontinued. It helped me rejuvenate and
kill the stress. It is important that you find some activity where you can find
solace.

How do you feel now that you are about to go to an medical college? |
| K. Abhilash |
: |
I am excited and really looking forward to it. The journey
ahead is no walk in the
park and that is where the notion of 'consistent perseverance' promises to pay
dividends.
