In the Zonal Tournament organized by Zonal Sports Committee
at Rashtriya Pratibha Vikas Vidhyalaya, Vasant Kunj and Vasant Valley School,

Our Girls Basketball team stood second in the 8th Sri Ram
Basketball Tournament held at Sri Ram School, DLF-III, Gurgaon.
- Our
Senior Girls Basketball team participated in the Ramjas Inter School
Basketball Tournament held from 13th to 24th Sept. 07
and won 3rd position.
- Our
Senior Football Team participated in the DDA Cup Football Tournament held from
18th to 27th Sept. 07 at DDS Sports Complex, Siri Fort
and secured 3rd position.
- In the ESPN Junior
Football Premier League (under-17) our boys bagged the trophy. 16 teams
from Delhi participated in the tournament and DPS Vasant Kunj remained
unbeaten in all matches and finally beating Sri Ram School 3-0 to bag the
trophy. Brian M. of this school was adjudged the best player. Four
Man of the Match Awards were also received by our students during the
tournament.
- In the
Inter Zonal Basketball Championship organized by Delhi School Sports
& Cultural activities board held at Chhatrasal Stadium, our school was the
winners. The final match was played on 8th December 2007
against Zone-11 team

In the ‘Interact-Thunder’, an inter school western music
competition held on 27th October 2007 at DPS Noida, Pearl Sabarwal of
class XI won the first prize for solo song.
·
In the 13th DKAI Delhi State Inter School Karate
Championship 2007 organised by Defence Karate Association of India held at
the Frank Anthony School on 27th and 28th October 2007,
our school teams bagged the 5th place amongst 29 top most
Delhi schools. The participants were:

At the Bro. Bergin’s Memorial Music Meet, organized by St. Mary’s
School on 3rd November, our students won the following prizes:

In ‘RoboKnights’ held at DPS R.K. Puram on
3rd and 4th November 2007 the students of DPS Vasant Kunj
won first prize in the Quiz competition. The participant were Ankur
Banerjee, Arjun Attam and Abhimanyu Bharadwaj.
·
In the ‘Prodigy-2007’, held at Pragati Maidan on 5th
November 2007 organized by Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies,
following students won the first prize in the Bulls-eye, a stock
simulation game. 45 leading schools of Delhi competed in the event.

Competitions during the month of Sept. 2007:

Tagore International School organized Commties – an Annual
Inter School Festival on the 3rd of Sept. 2007. The quiz team of
our school won the second prize in the Eureka event. The participants
were Varun V.S. and Ankur Banerjee (class XII).
·
DPS R.K.Puram organized Business Melange on 14th
Sept. 07. In the Just a Minute (JAM) event Sumit Mandhwani (XII) won the
second prize.
·
Modern School, Vasant Vihar organized ‘Economite’ symposium
on 7th Sept. ’07. Sumit Mandhwani and Bhavika (class XII) bagged the
first prize in the Bajaj Allianz Quiz.

event which saw a total of 310 schools compete for the title. The results were

HT Inquizitive on 6th August
2007. 250 teams participated in the event. Ankur Bannerjee (Class XII) and
Varun V.S. (Class XII) were ranked 6th and
were among the finalists.

The Sri Ram School organized the Annual Sri Ram School English
Debate from 6th to
10th August
’07. 12 elite schools participated in the Debate to coin the trophy. DPS
Vasant Kunj won the overall trophy. The participants were Vihan Dang,
Nayonika Datta, Yashi Mehta and Surbhi Kanga.
